Main Line Residence
Villanova
ORIGINALLY FROM AUSTRIA, the home owners wished to marry their desire for a modern aesthetic with the more traditional architecture of the surrounding Main Line Philadelphia community. The design of the new residence couples a European polished interior with a ‘sleeper’ American exterior. Clabbered with painted cedar siding and a cedar shake roof, the exterior evokes the neighborhood tradition.
Important to the heart of the home is a large kitchen, family room and mudroom that supports the active lifestyle of a growing family along with regular gatherings of relatives and friends. Contemporary light-filled spaces compliment the clean and simple traditional details of the interior.
