EB Mahoney Building

WANTING TO PRESERVE what is most admired about the community of Bryn Mawr, Lower Merion Township adopted strict zoning requirements in what is now identified as the Bryn Mawr Village District. Being a long-time resident and a third-generation builder in Bryn Mawr, E. B. Mahoney Builders wanted their new headquarters – the first project to be built under the new zoning ordinance – to handsomely demonstrate the building scale and character the ordinance is intended to preserve. The masonry detail and exposed metal work of the façade, in addition to exemplifying the desired scale and character, showcases the fine skill and craftsmanship of the E. B. Mahoney firm.
