THE DELAWARE MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY (DMNH) provides connection to nature through exploration and discovery for children and adults. Wanting to improve their food and menu offerings and provide expanding space for demonstrations and learning, Archer & Buchanan Architecture planned a new café and dining facility that would introduce a broad menu of food and snack items, provide kitchen facilities for DMNH and other catered events, and allow for the preparation of group meal packages for visiting school children. In keeping with the Museums mission of making every space a learning and exhibit area, the café is designed with a stage for live presentations, and outfitted with flat screens for showing films and providing information. The café seats 55 at tables and casual seating arrangements in a daylight filled setting, and additionally provides outdoor seating in good weather.
