Archer & Buchanan Welcomes Andrew Cacchio to Our Team
October 16, 2018
WE ARE HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE that Andrew Cacchio, an intern during the summer of 2017, elected to join Archer & Buchanan Architecture as a full-time employee following his graduation from The Pennsylvania State University this past spring. While at Penn State, Andrew was heavily involved with digital fabrication, including 3D printing and CNC (computer numerical control) routing. He is a co-founder and past president of Digi Digits, an interdisciplinary club of students at Penn State dedicated to improving, designing, and 3D printing prosthetic-like training devices for children who have hand/arm malformations or disabilities.
At Archer & Buchanan, Andrew will apply his technical, graphic and representation tools to the firm’s residential and institutional practices. Specifically, he has his sights set on expanding his rendering and 3D modeling skills to strengthen his ability to clearly present ideas to clients. With a keen interest in sustainability, he also is anxious to learn more about applying both passive and active strategies to project design. Andrew, now having the ability to experience projects from start to finish, looks forward to growing his understanding of construction and using his expanded knowledge to further develop his design and documentation skills.
“We welcome the enthusiasm Andrew brings to the ABA team,” says firm Partner Michele Thackrah. “His technical and graphic skills are a great contribution to keeping the firm current; we are excited to see Andrew apply his multiple talents and grow with us.”
