Alterations to 1942 Residence by Walter Durham

Gladwyne, PA

Built in 1942, this home was named the “New Hampshire House” by its original architect, Walter K. Durham.  Durham was a locally prominent architect, developer and builder with a well-deserved reputation for constructing high-quality custom homes for socially prominent families.

When Archer & Buchanan renovated this home its owners chose to add their own artistic flair with custom-painted murals and hand-crafted details.  In their substantial addition and renovation, Archer & Buchanan worked to complement rather than mimic historic features and details, setting them apart but keeping them in harmony.
